Resending: Giving Thanks + Getting Creative + Stories that Move

Hello global friends!

I'm excited to take this week ahead for giving thanks and recognizing Indigenous People's Day and for some reflection on where I've been so far this year. Some family time is definitely in order, too. My little family will be doing a lot outdoor time and will be venturing out for the first time to a larger scale event - an indoor college basketball game (with masks). Who ever thought that would sound SO exciting - in pre-covid days it would feel so routine.

I've got some links to share with you that may help you to be more creative this week and that offer some moving stories, too:

1) Have you seen the movie Val (about Val Kilmer's life so far)? It is on Amazon Prime and is really fascinating.

2) Ever wonder how Korean culture became a global phenomenon?

3) Getting creative in the kitchen? Here's how to ferment grape leaves by Alan Bergo.

4) Interested in changing careers but don't know how to do it? Here's how (and it offers special pre-sale pricing this week only.)

5) UConn's student paper printed this strong piece about Indigenous People's Day.

6) Love food and culture? You'll love this piece entitled Food As A Portal To Myself.

I hope this week ahead, for those who have some time for R&R, brings you all the soul nourishment that you need!

Gratefully,

Missy

PS - HIT REPLY and share something about yourself! What are you reflecting upon? What links above are inspiring you? Something else? I'll be sure to personally reply to you, promise!

Hello! Want to know what Fiddleheads (a plant!) and hurricanes have to do with Jewish American Heritage Month?I'm a little late for April Fool's Day - but the answer is "Nothing that I'm aware of!" - except that they both landed in this email. ;) (I know....you're quietly telling me to keep my day job and skip the humor. LOL! So back to that...) I read two very cool articles this week - one on fiddleheads and the other related to a hurricane. Check them out here: 1) Have you eaten...

Who else is blown away by the power of AI while simultaneously being freaked out by it? (My hand is raised!) My days are now full of AI powered meeting notes landing in my inbox after zoom meetings. I'm amazed, but also wonder what human experience is being lost in the process. Do you think about how to harness the power of AI, yet still take the best of what humans have to offer to craft an ideal interaction with customers? If so, you'll be excited to hear that we have a new AI talk for you...

I'm surely excited about Women's History Month! Women’s History Month is an annual observance in March to recognize the accomplishments, contributions, and historical significance of women. It also encourages reflection on the progress made in gender equality while acknowledging the ongoing challenges women face worldwide. Good news! We are highlighting four speakers for this month's celebration. We have added a new talk to recognize that 47% of women in the US workforce are mothers (who...
