Colleagues and friends, The election likely resulted in some employees in your company feeling scared and vulnerable. The reality is that whether you or your employer are satisfied with the results of the election, some of your employees are terrified for their human rights as people of color, LGBTQIA+, people of faith, and other identifications. Some are worried about their rights to healthcare. Some are simply feeling unsure of what to expect next. And while this is not meant to be a political post, it is a reality check. People in your company need support. I am sharing two speakers who can support your company at this time, either virtually or in person with either keynotes or workshops/masterclasses: 1) Jennifer Hamady: Jennifer is a communication specialist (voice + board certified therapist) who offers interactive sessions to help people communicate better. She is exceptional at facilitating dialogue across differences - whether personal or work related. "It is rare to see someone so talented and powerful also bring such warmth and tenderness to the table - and to so effectively connect and communicate with an audience. We all were left in awe and transformed by Jennifer Hamady.”– Janae Noble, Partner, Next Wave Investments, LLC Learn more about Jennifer here. 2) Candace Doby: Candace specializes in courageous communication at work. She can support your employees with concepts and actions around courage/risk taking at work. This includes having hard conversations - whether they be about organizational process flow or DEI or whatever else is on your employees' minds that they've been holding back on sharing. "Candace presented with a fantastic energy. Her engaging style is also approachable and down-to-earth, allowing attendees to connect to her message and see themselves within it.” Learn more about Candace here. I am happy to answer any questions about either of these talented women. Wishing you all a peaceful Veteran's Day, meanwhile. Please thank someone who served today. Gratefully, Missy |
Hello! Want to know what Fiddleheads (a plant!) and hurricanes have to do with Jewish American Heritage Month?I'm a little late for April Fool's Day - but the answer is "Nothing that I'm aware of!" - except that they both landed in this email. ;) (I know....you're quietly telling me to keep my day job and skip the humor. LOL! So back to that...) I read two very cool articles this week - one on fiddleheads and the other related to a hurricane. Check them out here: 1) Have you eaten...
Who else is blown away by the power of AI while simultaneously being freaked out by it? (My hand is raised!) My days are now full of AI powered meeting notes landing in my inbox after zoom meetings. I'm amazed, but also wonder what human experience is being lost in the process. Do you think about how to harness the power of AI, yet still take the best of what humans have to offer to craft an ideal interaction with customers? If so, you'll be excited to hear that we have a new AI talk for you...
I'm surely excited about Women's History Month! Women’s History Month is an annual observance in March to recognize the accomplishments, contributions, and historical significance of women. It also encourages reflection on the progress made in gender equality while acknowledging the ongoing challenges women face worldwide. Good news! We are highlighting four speakers for this month's celebration. We have added a new talk to recognize that 47% of women in the US workforce are mothers (who...
